My car wont lock or unlock
i have a clifford 50.5x for my car. so i went to work today and armed my car, then what happens is that my battery in the remote died. so i ran to the nearest store that had aaa bateries. i bought 2 and then put one in my key. then went back to my car and tried to unlock it. nothing happens, so i try it again and then it beeps that it is out of range. it beeped out of range like 1 time after i pressed lock or unlock like 5 times. so what i do is i unlock it and press the bypass switch because i had to go work at another store. so right now on the key it says the car is unlock, but not it wont lock. does anyone know how to fix it?

Same question^^^
Does the alarm arm and disarm?
The remote may be "out of sync" with the system, to re-sync the remote press the lock button several times...
code hopping
The receiver and transmitters use a mathematical formula called an algorithm to change their code each time the transmitter is used.
This technology has been developed to increase the security
of the unit.
The control unit knows what the next codes should be.
This helps to keep the transmitter “in sync” with the control unit even if you use the remote control out of range of the vehicle.
However, if the remote has been pressed many times out of range of the vehicle, or the battery has been removed, it may fall out of sync with the control unit and fail to operate the system.
To re-sync the remote simply press [lock] several times within range of the vehicle.
The alarm will automatically re-sync and respond to the transmitters normally. from page 40 0f owners guide. 94

What type of vehicle, make and model? I ask because I just diagnosed/repaired a 91 Civic lock issue no more than a week ago, it was a faulty molex pin in the drivers door that supplied power to the lock module. Its a very frequent problem for Hondas with the molexed door harnesses, which is just about every model made.
