Default Aux cord...brand/gold plated matter?

i'm looking for a aux cord, from my mp3 player to my aux connection in my car. does brand really matter? as far as sound quality goes. will the ones off ebay for couple bux suffice?

I rocked a cheap one for a while but sometimes the signal would mess up and over time it got worse.

Then i spent a little more on my next one and it's fine so far

Generic ones go bad quick. I sell 'em so I know. At least get a Griffin one from BB.

if you're playing mp3's then i don't think it's worth spending a lot on a good aux cable. if you're playing some sort of loss less audio codec (such as flac), then yes, i would say go for it.

don't buy bottom of the barrel ****, but don't spend a fortune either.
