AT???

If yes, that's normal and/or the characteristic of this car. That's why when I come to a red light, I put it in Neutral, right before the complete stop.

I'm having the same problem on my 2009 AT Civic. I can't believe that's just the way the car works. It will sometimes lurch 1-2ft.

I don't know if shifting to neutral is the best thing to do. See if it says that in the manual. If Honda required you to do that when coming to a stop they would tell you. Let the car operate how is wants to. It's one of the most well engineered cars in the world.

Possibly to disengage the transmission, to prevent the lurching.

My AT BMW does the same thing. I think it is just the tranny down shifting.

I put my car in D2(which locks it in 2nd gear) yesterday and it did not jerk when coming to a complete stop.
