hey mate its theo from greece.yr info is great!i wanna ask ya sth.
i ve got a d15z6 civic which s changed engine.it used to be 1.4lt(90hp) so now its 1.5lt(115hp).the point is that i ve got some problems mostly in 4th n 5th gear.like small cuts of the fuel.i ve been searchin for it since i bought it n the only thing i know is that it comes from electricals..sensors maybe..i m just wanderin that the car had a stock immobilizer as a 1.4tl.could the ex owner change the ecu from the 1.4 to a 1.5 ecu or he just left the 1.4 ecu n only changed the engine?????how can i check my ecu type cuz here nobody wd tell me!!

I have a mpfi harness from an ef si cant i just use that? its already mpfi. wat other conversion would i have to so? and I bought this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1988-...D1-CONVERSION-
JUMPER-HARNESS-/120634462943

shouldnt that be all I need?the jumper makes it possible to keep the obd1 ecu and dizzy and the 4 wire 02 sensor

I think so. all d series mpfi manifolds are basically the same.I have an ecu jumper harness and a distributor conversion plug. that with the mpfi harness should be good enough...right?

Haha, exactly what I was thinking. As I read some first information I was thinking,

"Hmm, who the **** is NOT going to know this **** beforehand?"

Then I look at the next few posts, and think,

"Well, there sure are people who don't search for anything worth a ****."

In order from easiest swap to most power. D16a6, d16z6, d16y8. They are all however "easy swaps" and the power bands are all similar. But the last 2 have vtec.

sorry to come into this thread and start asking questions but im lost on wuts wrong with the car. my brother and i got ahold of this 1990 civic ef body with the d15 from crx from the same yr. we have been having problems running. it will iddle ok but once we take off it will only do about 50 tops it ill start to slow down even if im pressing the gas peddal all the way i thought it could be the spark plugs and the cables so we changed them but didnt change also changed the gas filter and cleaned out the injectors cuz it wuz giving trouble code 16. the check engine light turned off but its still flashing. it will have a single flash(cant tell if its long or short) flashes 12 times quickly but i dont know if its supposed to flash like that or its the egr sensor. what im now wondering is if the d15 engines have egr sensors and if so where .......if any one can help me or redirect me to another thread that can assist me i would realy REALY appreciate it thanks in advance guys
