You should check for fuel issues, possibly bad pump or fuel filter issue.

sounds kinda like a map sensor problem or an ignition problem to me <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by z6hatchboy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Possible igniter coil, try a new dizzy</TD></TR></TABLE> this man speaks the truth. break out the old voltmeter, and get the factory voltage table for the map sensor from honda, and check it the old fashioned way.

yeah that would make the rpms to jump around. what you could do is take off your iacv and clean it and check the o rings to make sure there still good and see if it helps any just go down to an auto part store and buy carb cleaner and spray it down

Make sure the TPS and MAP sensors arn't broken from shipping the motor.
Once it throws a CEL, check for the codes before you shut the motor off.
The P1456 is EVAP leak, usually the gas cap is lose.

The fuel trim problem is probably a result of your missfire, it's not the actual problem.
Until you get a code, your on a wild goose chaise. You should be looking for a code reguarding CKP, MAP, TPS, CMP, or TDC.

That's an expensive guess. I'd test it first. Hook your volt meter up to the signal wire and slowly create vacuum with your vacuum guage. The voltage should increase slowly as you add vacuum. If there is a voltage spike somewhere, then the sensor is bad. You should be doing this with the key on engine off and the connector connected. This test is best done with a scope, where you can actually watch to voltage increase. Good luck!
