Yeah, the reason for that is because I don't exactly know which fuse it is. I have seen fuses blown like that on cars I work on, not necessarily Honda's so I'm not sure on that. A simple checking of fuses would do just fine.
BTW, that is a JDM GS-R ECU. P72 013= JDM B18C GS-R

US obd2 gsr ecu make sure you have no cels on for 3 to 400 miles before you bring it back, they can tell how long ago it was turned off..

Re: where are the HT brains at? need help (Ryanwill86)
I have a feeling that once you plug in a USDM ECU you will get a number of check engine codes since I have a suspicion that your actual swap is also JDM, which means that it lacks some key OBD2 sensors/equipment in order to pass out emissions plug-in OBD2 scan tests.
Plug in the ECU and wait for the check engine light to come on - it will if you have a JDM swap. If no light comes on after cranking the car and idling drive - trust me if you have a JDM swap the light will come on, and you should have some codes.
Here are a few codes I suspect you'll run into:
Code 1336-1337 - CKF sensor
This sensor is found on USDM OBD2 oil pumps and is not present on JDM engines. Unless you want to buy a new USDM oil pump and a CKF sensor, tear down the entire timing assembly to install it, etc. you can do a very simple/quick wiring trick to fool your ECU into thinking you've got the CKF sensor:
Click Here and Follow OBD2A Instructions
Code P0137-P0141 - secondary oxygen sensor
This is not a sensor that a JDM ECU even looks for, so there wouldn't be any specific reason that you would have one if it never threw a code. This sensor is supposed to be located in the catalytic convertor towards the back of it. You'll need to likely wire in this sensor - you can use the following chart for the specific ECU pin locations:
Code P0420 - catalyst efficiency low
Again the JDM ECU doesn't even look for this code, and unless you have an actual convertor in place you will likely throw this code. You fix it by having an under car catalytic convertor installed wioth a secondary o2 sensor bung in place to plug it in too.
Code P1253-P1259 - VTEC system
Your JDM swap probably has a VTEC solenoid that lacks the VTEC oil pressure switch. The JDM ECU doesn;t look for one, so you'll either have to swap in a US-spec solenoid complete with the VTEC oil pressure switch, then wire it in, or do another wiring trick which basically uses the VTEC solenoid signal/wire to fool the ECU into thinking you've got the VTEC pressure switch. I don't have a link to a how-to but bascially you scotch lock an extra wire/pin onto the VTEC signal wire and pin that extra wire into the pin location for the VTEc pressure switch/VTPS at the ECU.
Code P0441-P0443; P1456-P1459 - EVAP solenoid/system
Unless you have all the EVAP system stuff hooked up you *might* throw any EVAP related codes. You'll need to make sure the EVAP stuff gets hooked up if you throw any EVAP codes. These aren't as common or quick to throw codes.
Basically fix any codes that trigger within two days that include some 20-50 or so miles worth of driving - around town type driving or short highway bursts, etc. - otherwise after two days of no codes with a USDM ECU hurry up and get the emissions test done.

He is correct.
Thats a JDM ECU, a USDM 96 GSR ECU is: 37820-P72-A02.
Your car used to be an automatic transmission, thats why that plug isn't plugged into the ECU.

Don't quote me on this because I've not personally done it, but I think the principle is the same as the CKF fix, which I have personally done before.
See the diagram:
Pin location A8 is the VTEC signal wire. You should have one of these pinned into A8. You would take an extra wire (ideally the same type ECU wire from possibly a donor car) and scotch lock/piggyback it to the wire going into A8 on one end, and then pin the other end into the VTPS pin location on the ECU plug at C15. This should fool the ECU into reading the signal from the VTEC solenoid itself as also the VTEC pressure switch signal as well.
If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

Re: where are the HT brains at? need help (Ryanwill86)
Listen I bought the same motor, from same place (hmotors), same vehicle transplant as you so I know what Im talkin about:
You have a Jdm P72 Obd2 ecu.
In order to pass smog or have the scanner read the codes you need a USDM ECU
Get a obd2a USDM ecu p72 (it should have a LETTER after P72- and not a Number like 0)
Your gonna get a couple of codes:
CFK sensor which you will have to find a wire sensor for the crank
Catalytic Converter must be used and sensors must be plugged in
All Evap Purge solenoids must be plugged in. Your manifold doesnt come with one because its jdm. So find a USDM GSR MANIFOLD or the evap purge solenoid.
You need a Vtec Oil Pressure Switch or you can trick the ecu by splicing the Vtec Solenoid wire with the Vtec Oil Pressure Switch wire.
Any questions feel free to pm me.

Man all of that sounds REALLY familiar! Maybe because I posted the exact same stuff only with actual how-to pics, diagrams, etc.
BTW he only needs to fix the EVAP stuff if his ECU throws a code for it - he lives in TN which does not have an actual smog ref/BAR check to see if every single sensor is working.

I think someone else already answered - that's where an auto ECU has the extra plug in for auto trans controls.

As B18C5-EH2 and someone above him mentioned one of two things happened, the car was either originally an automatic and someone swapped it, not all that uncommon anymore. Or the car was always a 5 speed and someone used an automatic harness, i've seen it done before ('98 EX manual with '93 B16A with OBD2A automatic harness, I have no idea what the story on that was) As for the cut wire someone preformed what is known as the IACV fix to make that harness work with a 2 wire IACV.

I wouldn't. Not yet anyway, it appears whoever did the swap soldered the connections and then put shrink tubing over the top. that orange wire is supposed to be cut or depined and taped up when preforming the IACV fix so thats normal.
