Default Dipstick + Oil noob question...

There are no markings on my dipstick at all. Just like..a series of holes. How do I know if I have the correct amount of oil?

The hole at the far end of the dipstick means its low(NEAR THE TIP), fill it as close to the hole furthest from the tip..

Then we're all good. Every dipstick I have ever used has a MAX| ::::::::: |LOW marking on it. So it was kinda weird.

It makes it easy, if their is oil in the top hole you're plenty good. If there's oil in the bottom hole you're safe. If there's no oil in either, you'd better put some in.

Honda doesn't write max or min on them because they are smart and make the same part for many different markets. Why put English writing on something for non English speaking countries.

Plus, those little holes reduce the weight of the dipstick, as opposed to raised lettering which ADDS weight!
