Default EG Project 95 Civic SI Rust Bucket :)

Hey guys thought I would share my new project.

My budy called me asked me to sell his car . So i decided to low ball him and here is my new project .

Car came with a B16, hondata, cold air,Fogs, cruise and other nick nacks. Im gonna fix the rear quarters and paint the car the OEM color or ill paint it gun metal.

I got a hood, sunroof and new qaurter panel pieces

Ill post pics tongiht of the progress. The cutting begins.

Well 3 Hours later this is what i got done LOL.

Yummy I love the paper in there and tooth picks lol.

Well worked on it for hour just cutting more rust out on the left side. 1 OCT 08

Let the 20gu steel fabing begin. Im gonna have to remake the gas filler pocket

Well today got the Fender Cut out and the new inner fender half made.

Oct 8th Some progress, Got the arch welded up and found new rust

Gas door fab

Passenger side work

Some various shots

Hindge Cancer

Some arch pics

Yumm Roof rust

Skirts modded up and Left side done just got to do right now

Dec.6th Well the body work is all pretty much done just have to bring it down to 400 grit. I got the jams painted now.

Dec 8th Well got both doors stripped just got to sand them down and paint them. Was gonna do it today but the -30 deg temps dont help lol.
Mounted this to

Hood was supper flimbsy. So i welded it up and seam sealed it alot more sturdy then oem. Fits ok. Not bad for $80 bucks

Dec 10th the hood and doors are painted. Not bad for a rattle can and only being 40deg f in the garage.

Dec16th Well doors are on, fenders are painted along with trunk lid.

Dec.16th Well front fenders are on and the hood all aligned up. Did not turn out to bad im happy with it

Jan.30 went to the shop took some pics. Should be painted tomorrow.

Jan.31 Car is all painted ready to get the glass put in it then bring it home.

Feb.1st Car is home and putting it all back together so i can store it

July.11.
Well i got a sunroof assembly all stripped and cleaned up and lubed up opens like new and looks like new.
I have started most of the alarm and auto start wiring up and made a braket to hold up the alarm brain and back up battery up.

July.25

Well the alarm is in and installed and all programed. Autostarter works awsome, backup battery and alot of other goodies. Back interior is all in and floor is fully dynomated and underlay and carpet is in along with the seats. All thats left is the gauge cluster and bezel and radio. I also rewrapped the rear speaker grills.

Before

After

Aug.22nd

Well i was able to start on my A frame braces here is the left hand side all tacked up i should have them all done today. Bring them to my friends and sand blast them and paint them and put them on.Oh and i still have to round off the corners make it look pretty

Sept 13th

Well the A frame braces are on now and fender back on and bolts all painted

I'm not so sure anymore. Do all the '93 - '95 EX coupes have power windows and locks? Because I pulled the power mirrors out of a '93 or '94 Si coupe and it had manual windows and locks.

For al that rust on the hood you are better off going to junkyard and replacing it. NO need to sand, grind, bondo, etc.

Lol. my mom would be pissed if i broght a car like that home and parked it in front of our house. lol. Yes i still live with mom while im going to school. lol

Posted more pics. Yeah im using all metal to repair it and at most 1/16-1/8" of bondo to smoth it out.

The quarter panel pieces are for a Hatch which are pretty different.

So tomorrow ill cut and tack the new panels on and have to make bumper mounts. The coupe fender ends punch up at 40deg's.

Some pics of my other car.

Thanks for the comments. The EL made 267whp years ago at 11psi.I built a new motor for it last year still have not dynoed it yet. Maybe this weekend i will see what she puts down.

The civic I pulled in the garage last night, Thats about 3 hours of work. I should have the panels welded in tonight and start making mounting tabs. I need to make 2 new 12" rocker U channels. I got it for just a tad over 1,000
