gas gauge?

gas gauge?
its weird my moms civics gas gauge will read full tank then after driving a little it'll go down to like half a tank then up later on..its annoying how can i fix it

can guarantee you most civics have this problem.
what happens is, the baffle (i guess you would call it) most likely broke inside the gas tank. so when driving, gas sloshes around from side to side and what not.
therefore, you have incorrect reading when making a turn or something. and when the car sits still, you'll have proper reading.
just deal with it, unless you're SUPER **** bout it.

my does it all the time 98 ek
but if u have broken baffles you would hear them moving around in the tank...
so like he said befor me in less your hella **** about you jus have to trust your car and the light! lol

well, i guess i wouldnt exactly use the term "baffles". i cant find the right definition, but its that one thing that floats up when you fill up at a gas station.
