Avid torque mounts
So I got some Avid torque mounts for my 98 GSR. This car is all stock but the stock mounts were shot so I figured why not. After installing them I started the car and it rattled unbelievably. I'm wondering if all of the vibration could possibly hurt things in the long run.
Now on my civic I had the Energy Suspension inserts for the entire car, and there was much less vibration. The car feels great as far as tightness when shifting and accelerating but I'm really worried that these mounts might be too extreme for a daily driven car and possibly cause harm to the car itself over the long term.
Anyone have any input on this? Personal experience? Or even just some educated guesses? Thanks for reading.

Re: Avid torque mounts
i wouldnt worry too much about it. it can just be annoying....but..
if you drive it reall hard with no dampening for the motor you can crack a tranny casing or block. there needs to be some kind of cushion for the motor if its goin to be daily driven.

Well I guess you could say that I drive it hard but that's kinda relative. I mean I'm not dropping it from 8k and burning out, I don't really drag race, but I do drive pretty fast and hard on backroads (I live in a rural area). I had considered getting the ITR mounts but I thought those wouldn't be stiff enough, I thought I had a pretty high tolerance for harsh rides and whatnot, after driving a basically gutted car daily, but I guess I was wrong =P Also this might be relevant, my friend with an eg coupe and a b16 swap with hasport mounts vibrates much less than my stock mounts with these torque mounts.

Well I got the torque mounts because those are what were broken. My stock mounts are still in good shape. I'm not so sure I wanna try the poly motor mounts just to see, since they are a bit costly, especially since mine are not worn.
