So i was wondering, i bought my car with a crappy leaking moonroof, not to mention headliner was a thin piece of cloth falling off

im looking into replacing it with an actual sunroof and getting new headliner, headliner part i can get, but has anyone done or replace their sunroof before? i just want to know is it an easy DIY weekend job? or is it one of them headache jobs? or should i jus completly remove it and cover it up when i have enough for a paint job later?

you'll probably spend the whole weekend if its your first time taking your interior apart. All A, B, and C pillar panels come off, then the overhead lights, then the headliner. THat will expose the whole sunroof assembly.

i already have all that off =D it all looks str8 forward, i just got to find someone selling a shell or something, got to hit up junkyard one of these days

i've changed out my moonroof before. its really easy. since you already have the interior pieces off its even easier. just a couple screws holding it on if i remember right.

i got my old moonroof still. if you are in the bay area i can sell it to you. its off a 96.

lol true true..i really want a sunroof, i couldnt really stand it just opening up lol need something that opens up and slides back =D

Just a hint ... DO NOT BY ANY MEANS do away with your sunroof. Honda built that car with the sunroof & if you remove it the car will never drive the same. A local stereo shop tried to remove it & ended up totaling the car ... Lol

Well, I don't have any proof of that other than I saw what the vehicle looked like & it messed with cars natural flex points so they had to total the car. I actually live right behind the shop.

--- When i parted out a 99 LS, the sunroof removal was actually quite easy. I would say about 1-2hour job taking your time not to ruin anything.

BUT....

From my understanding, ALL DC integra's came with a plastic roof liner and not cloth. Is your car a RS with a crappy moonroof install? It shouldn't be cloth up there for you.

the guy that had the car b4 me, cut off the original headliner, and left it very ugly looking, he cut around it, and then used some adhesive to put the cloth on, have no idea why, but im trying to make it look clean and nice again, and have an actual sunroof that slides back lol

i have a 94 fourdoor by the way, ive tried searching up sunroof stuff for it, didnt really find anything, but all moonroof/sunroof should be same measurements for all fourdoor correct?

So your roof opens up, but don't slide? You sure its stock?

i really think its after maket? becuz the middle dome light was poorly custom bracketed, all it did was jus opened up and that was it

i took off all the cloth and slider crap, i dont know, i might just get a headliner seal it up the ghetto way, but clean and just call it a day =P
