I dont have pics but my car has back seats in the upright position and the cage is certified. I made the back bars run along the roof line and runs behind the seats. Plus the cant see my cage from the side of the car.

You shouldn't have a problem, you can run it back towards the top of the seat and then bend it down towards your rear plates. There have been on here that i have seen with stickers, Tried to find them but couldn't. I remember one of the cars was red. I am curious as to why you would want to do that. If you want to call the guy that does the certs in our state/region, his number is 478-953-1935. He's a pretty helpful guy.

I got a new car mat and i really wanna keep as much stuff in the car as possible, from all the weight I have added back into my Si hatch, im sure that a set of rear seats in a cx wont hold me back ya know. I am really just trying to keep the car as cleanly stock interiored as possible.
I have spoken with the guy that does the certs before and yes he is a very helpful guy, cool as hell!
thanks guys for the pics, I wasnt sure if it passed cert or not with that kind of bend in the rear bars or not

That your car Mikey? How tall are you? Harness bar should be no more than 4" below your shoulders, that pic looks like it might be a bit low?

Re: (tony1)
my shock towers are tied with a crossbar and the down tubes attach to that right at the shock tower, the down bars just barely clear the top of my rear seats.
