always wondered about this one- i got the lucis type editing down but this one gives off such a better look to some images. kudos on the write up man. ill definately use this

Yeah man try it out and see what you come up with. Using better photos will give you a more dramatic effect, but this is essentially what is needed to achieve this look.

That effect kind of makes the image come out like an HDR image.

I'm gonna try it out...but I went a step further and simply downloaded the Lucis Arts software

I tried it out (thanks for the tutorial btw). First attempt. Might have overdone it, i'm not sure if i like the final result. But its really not the best subject to try it out on. Thoughts? Comments?

How's the lucis arts plugin?? any examples?

I'd say you are getting there with the technique, but the colors are pretty intense lol. Might want to desaturate it a little bit so her skin doesn't look orange.

I've got a way to have the photographer save some time on this technique. Get your subject hooked on meth and the result will be the same. Little effort on your part!

doc x, that last pic you posted is insane haha. the dark bags under the eyes add a lot. i still havent gotten around to really doing this but seems like you got the technique down great

I rushed it and applied the blur badly in some places, and probably overdid the effect
