Hi, i bought my 95' integra gsr at 155k miles from the original owner 100% dead stock. car looks great and was maintained very well.
Drove it 15,000 miles with no issues.
All of a sudden, cranks but wont turn over after sitting for two hours.

Drove the car in the morning, started and drove fine.
parked car in the sun.
got back to car 20 minutes later, very hot, starts right up and drives fine.
Get home, park car in garage for about 2 hours.
Get into car, turn the key, motor starts but i notice an odd idle.
turn on AC
put in reverse and back up 5 ft.
motor bubbles and stops.
i turn off ac, turn key again
firing and sputtering for just a few moments
eventually stops sputtering and now just cranks the motor, but wont turn over.
push car back into garage.
car totally cooled off
i suspect a clogged fuel filter so i put on a new one, no effect.
I put on a k&n air filter 1,000 miles ago, inside the stock airbox.
oil change and filter every 3000 miles. full synthetic.
18,000 miles on battery, starter is just cranking the motor but it wont turn over.
100% stock 95' gsr.

i about to swap the spark plugs out just cus i have new ones to put in, ill update if that does anything.

any advice? thanks for reading.

Check for spark and fuel. Maybe the distributor took a crap.

Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn on the ign.? 94

I replaced the spark plugs, no change.

I can hear my fuel pump prime when i switch my key to auxiliary power.

I suspect it is my distributor, so im going to take that apart and look inside.

im also going to check my fuses

Yea it sounds like you need a new distributor.

First test to see if you have power at the injectors when ign. is in both run and start, if not you will also not have power at IGP 1 and 2 of the ECU.

Have you checked for spark yet?

Use an HEI spark tester, [$10 or less at any auto parts store] to test spark. 94

I am almost certain its my ignition coil. I ordered the part and it'll arrive in 2 days. ill let u guys know if it fixes my problem.

I had a spare distributor from my last integra known to be working, switched out the ignition coils and my car started right up.

It was my ignition coil.

now i can drive my car to work and don't have to spend money on uber.
ill switch this ignition coil out for my brand new one when it arrives along with the distributor cap, rotor and spark plug wires.

My was gonna say I.C.M from one of the symptoms discriptions.. but a bad ignition coil always tricks me.
