Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
haha I know I know
Harbor Freight haha
Nice man thanks for the info
haha its back up now About the "illest" stickers mine are unfortunately from ebay so I'm assuming they're knocks, I couldn't find the real ones on the illest/fatlace website so I settled
Thanks for the kind words guys!
Got a decent amount of work done on the teg yesterday.
Started off the day with masking off all the holes that go from the wheel well into the bay
I had been slowly cleaning out the wheel wells and finally got em clean enough to paint em
Before: All nasty (don't mind the white its just Comet cleaner)
After: Nice n' fresh, still might lay another coat after its all dried
Picked up an OEM civic harness plug to route the new harness through
Where the harness is goin. Was real *nervous* about that paint when cutting but it came out clean
Started mocking up a few things in the bay as well.
Couldn't figure out how I was gonna get my battery stay to sit but wanted it in the stock spot. So a buddy chopped up the old OE battery stay and welded the bracket on the bottom.
Came out perfect, looks factory.
All mounted up
Also mocked up the new s2000 clutch master after re threading it to fit. Looks a lot nicer than on the shock tower
And I got my Rywire ls to vtec subharness, so let the harness rebuild begin!
Got plenty of work left for me to do so I'll update you guys again later today or tomorrow on the progress
yea i just did a motor drop-in to a dc just like yours (engine bay is alot bigger then my ef, so you should be fine)... it was my painters car and also had a fresh paint job and freshly painted subframe installed too. drop the motor from the top very slowly..and have a couple of friends on each side of the motor to keep a close eye on everything. use tape and rags if necessary.taped and raged uped my pry-bar and rachets so it wont F*** anything up.... just take your time...like i did, not one single scratch
One of my fav builds. But dude you need to post this back on NWP lol.
Offtopic, but what's good with those illest stickers. They look different from the fatlace ones. Just wondering, I majored in Graphic Designer so I'm always noticing **** like that lol.
But keep it up mang

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
The s2000 clutch master is just a way to get the stock clutch reservoir off of the shock tower for a cleaner look. Mine needed replacin anyways so why not go s2000
Thanks man. Glad I finally got to tear it down this much.
Here's how the block sits at thet moment. Got that bish so clean you could eat off it
Still waiting on all the pumps/belts/gaskets/seals and what not. The block is still just stock pistons at the moment, still tryin to decide if it needs a rebuild. Might save that for next winter.
The head is pretty much all disassembled still needing to have it ported just waitin on some funds at the moment.
But while I'm waitin I got plenty of work to keep me busy
Today I spent some time mocking up the new front brake lines since I'm deleting abs and lowering the prop valve I'm going to be bending new lines.
Mocked up the booster and used some metal wire we had layin around the garage to mock the lines (worked perfect)
Few cuts and bends later I had a good look at how the lines are gonna run.
Got some Mfactory solid shifter bushings in the mail the other day
Also got some clear euro integra turn signals to change it up a little bit
Still waiting on plenty of stuff, will update you guys real soon

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
Favorite build hands down, mostly because I have a red integra on rpf's and am looking to get regas next. Basically everything you have done or are doing is something I would do/am trying to do.
Keep up the good work dude

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
This build has really come a long way. I read through the whole thing here at work. I really like everything you've done to the teg, nice and tasteful. I was wondering what size and offset your first set of enkei's were (the rpf1's)?

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
Thanks man, they're all done now!
Got all the new brake lines bent up. Came out pretty good IMO. Gonna lay a coat of black on all of em before they get bolted up
And mocked up
Don't mind the rears they are getting straightened and re-bent to match the other lines better
Finally decided on what I'm doing with the block
- Hot tank/hone/deck resurface/crank polish
- OEM p30 pistons/rings
- ACL bearings
- ARP head/rod/flywheel bolts
- OEM pumps/belts/seals
- CTR n1 crank pulley
Can't wait! Be on the lookout for these parts comin REAL soon

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
Damn dude updates are rolling in quick! Looking really good bro.
When I saw the pic of the mock wire brake lines I was going to let you know ytou need extra room bwtween the flare and the first bend to fit the fitting and flare tool or have room to make the lest bend witht he fitting installed but it looks like you got it figured out It would be cool if you found some paint that matched the oem greenish coating that comes stock for the brake lines

Also do you know much about flaring? Im wondering if a flare isn't absolutely perfect if it would cause a leak or not.
Got a couple more things in the mail
Thanks again for the pulley Tony (na-spirit)
OEM CTR n1 crank pulley/belt
Also got this hella dope 08 Spoon catalog from the guys at jdmspeedwoRx
Spoon/jdmspeedwoRx
Let the Spoon shopping begin!

Re: **Milano Red DC4 Project**
Thanks man I can't wait to get em in there! In for updates on your bish
Nice man.
Thanks man! I actually flared them while they were straight then bent them to fit. Came out pretty good. Not perfect but pretty good haha. The green would be neat but tryin to find one to match might be tough. Black is just easy and it should flow pretty good with all other stuff in the bay.
