Preventative Care while motor is out
Replacing a few things on the H22A/M2B4-LSD before it goes in. The VC and Oil Pan gaskets look fine and i'm not worried about them as they are easy to replace with the motor in. But HARD to reach things like the rear main seal will be replaced while the motor is out.
I'm debating on the clutch/flywheel, I don't know if I should risk it and stick with what's in there or get a new setup. I'd like to go with something nice n light, reccomendations?
What else should I consider replacing? esp. those pita parts/seals/gaskets.
All gaskets and seals that are to be replaced will be ordered from Honda.
Are the autozone (Duralast) or kragen auto (A1 Cardone) water pumps are worth while - both have lifetime warranty.
I will be keeping the current alternator on there but just in case it fails later on, where should I go for a replacement?
The current distributor cap's connecting ends were damaged/broken. Are internal/external core distributor caps interchangeable? or will I have to get the cap specific for the internal core? Again where would be a good brand/place to get the part?

Re: Preventative Care while motor is out (vinuneuro)
yea the h20 pump it def. going to be replaced asap, just want to know if there is a particular brand I should go with? I forgot to mention the belts too will be replaced.
Where can I get a single pulley? PS will be removed so that extra pulley is just taking up space.

Go with an Oem H20 pump for peace of mind, plus it will fit the best. depending on what you plan with the motor, now would be the time to delete balance shafts if you want to do that. And you are right to think clutch, its way easier now than once its in the car. I like Exedy clutches, as I think you will see many people do on here. I like running a stock flywheel, but I think the Fidanza flywheels are a good light product as well, and make sure you have decent tdc and 15 degree marks before installing it, for timing. Thats all I can think of for now.
