gsr wont idle
soo im getting my car ready for paint n i havent start the engine for about a week...but before that i took my stock tb off to test fit a 68mm tb...when i put the 68mm tb on the car would only stay on if i hold the gas open just a bit plus the check engine light came on....code 7 for tps at the time i didnt feel like putting my stock tb back soo like i said the car sat for about a week...now i put my stock tb on and the car does the same thing it wont idle if i dont hold the gas...there is no code 7 i got a code 22 VTEC pressure valve that shouldent make my engine do that would it?
any ideas??

Re: gsr wont idle
check your Fast Idle Thermal Valve, FITV, and your IACV.
clean em out really good and see that that does.
take your TPS and swap it with one that works, and see if that helps.
you might have to calibrate it as well

Re: gsr wont idle
Any updates or help with this same issue?
After i got my blower ported i started having this issue. On cold days, my car had a real hard time starting up and idling unless i have my foot on the gas. Once the car is warmed up, the car idles perfect, drives perfect, and have no issues. The car even starts perfectly on cold starts when its hot.and humid out. Its only a cold start on a cold day.
Now, my car wont even start up. Please help.

Re: gsr wont idle
Hey guys, I know this thread is old. I have a b18c gsr in an ek, i cant get it to idle for the life of me, At first I never even had the iacv plugged in so i thought that was my issue, i wired it up and it still wont idle, the car will turn over for a second but dies when if i dont give it gas, i hear a squeak coming from the tb. I havent tried to clean out the tb or iacv. Ill give that a try, could it be my throttle cable as well? how much slack should it have? Any help would be great. This is my first swap and its really discouraging that i cant get it to idle and hear my car. Thanks guys
