What is your input on optimal spring rates (Ground Control + Bilstein)
Back after 4 years of idleness. In the meanwhile I've been working on car audio so we've gained a little weight:
I have about 200lbs extra weight in front and 300lbs extra in the back. This all leads to very uneven lowering. I still have about 1.5inches of gap in the back and 2.5 or so in the front.
After numerous recommendations I've decided on the Bilstein Sport shocks. I believe the Ground Controls are the only adjustable sleeves for the Bilstein so they will have to do.
Since the Ground Controls can be special ordered with different spring rates I need you guys to help me pick. I need something:
stiffer than stock
comfy enough for long trips
keep in mind 500lbs extra weight
I need to listen to my stereo without hurting my kidneys
I won't drag race or autox for a living but for fun and very rarely
Ground Controls come in 450fr/300r
Thanks ahead of time!

FWIW Ground Control does not make the adjustable coilover with Bilstein shocks for our cars. I know because I got on the phone and tried to order them.
It looks like I will go with H&R race springs and Bilstein Sports. Any idea how stiff this will be or just how low the ride will be?
