What would make the clock reset in my car every time I shut it off?
I have Accord 1994 has OEM Honda 6 CD Changer which was not working
So that I bought new Sony Xplod CDX-565MXRF 10 CD changer
Anyways I installed it and it is working fine
But the problem is every time I shut off my car the time reset and radio reset all saved channels and ask for code
I’m worried about the way I connected the power wires, I connect them to the fuse box below the dashboard

you need to have a constant power connected to it too. it should be to the red wire on the aftermarket headunit

Re: (TheMuffinMan)
yea connecting them straight to the fuse panel is not a good thing...but to answer your question about why your clock would reset every time you turn the car off....with the stock harness power wire wise you have 2 wires the red one and the yellow one...the red turns the radio on when you turn the key to accessory while the yellow one is a "memory" wire and has constant power even when the car is off thus keeping the clokc and stations set
