Was scrolling though the pictures from when I was out on my own. Don't remember if I ever put this here, but I think its the winner.

Turbo Busa Exhaust manifold. Thing was so age/heat hardened it took forever to 'fix'.

LOL. This thread reminds me of my college days where I could barley afford to keep my 1988 325is BMW running.

I missed a date with a girl because the car threw a halfshaft.

A few days later, I had a second chance with her. I was driving to her apartment for a "study session" when my exhaust hanger broke (must have been the last one) and I started dragging my entire exhaust (from the cat back) down the strees with massive sparks.

I pulled over, bought duct tape from a gas station, and wrapped the duct tape from the exhaust pipes and around the entire trunk several times. People in the parking lot looked at me like I was crazy! But there was no way I was missing another date with this girl.

Luckily she didn't see the car that night. It was embarrassing.

I thought you said he got better over time? Looks just as bad from start to finish status quo style.

A friend has just bought himself this masterpiece:

Apparently the whole car only cost him £150 ($240) - I still think they saw him coming!
