Default 91 HB CIVIC [What we can do with low budjet in Quebec]Build

Hi everyone !! I've started a new project since 2 month ago and i think it could be interesting for you to know about it !!!

So here is the project : a complete rebuild of my hatchback 91 si, starting with the bodyjob an than the engine after. The body will be stock , completely renewed with a lowered suspension, 15inch wheels, tinted windows and new teal paint. I have a sohc ZC non-vtec to put in it but its not important right now, i need to get the body like a new before this.

EDIT : i tought it would be simple if i puted an updated mod list :

- Ractive 4-2-1 header (bought 25$)
- Ractive cold air intake (was in the green civic when i bought it
- Rebuilded ZC sohc non vtec (Acl rod and main bearing, NPR rings and felpro gasket)
- Exedy oem replacement clutch + 8lbs flywheel
- Tokico HP + Unknow ajustable coil spring made in Japan
- Integra 1990-1993 knuckle, caliper and 10.3 disc
- Earls SS brake lines on 4 corners
- 1.6 el turtles 15" rims
- Mangels "spoon style" 14" rims (i have 2 set of rims, just to change when i am bore from one)
- Front and rear strut bar
- Hp + brake pads
- DPFI to MPFI conversion DONE
- Auto transmission to Manual SI transmission swap DONE

Here are the picture, the car when i bought it (2month ago, about 300$):

Interior :

The engine bay look like this :

Than i stripped of all the interior :

I also get this black 91 dx civic with a destroyed body but lot of goot part for free(the zc is in it)

So i started to get this one stripped too :

The engine bay of the black civic with the sohc zc, only the block, its the dx intake and exhaust manifold but i have the intake, the ecu and a exhaust manifold from another d16a6

And than i finished to get all parts out of the black civic

SO now im in brake because its as a lot of snow outside and i cant see my civic.

I started too buy useful things :
Rear quarter because my green civic have rusty one

here's what my part storage garage look like after this :

And a last pic of my civic to see what it look like while its under snow (whit a protector sheet on it)

That it for the moment, i'll put a lot of news in the next month ! hope you like my project and sorry for my dirty english !!!

Thank you !

A lot of work has been done on the car, i had no internet for long time. im back in to post picture of what happen with the build. here are picture from 2 month ago. i'l post you some more recent pictures in the next days. The car is now running.

Engine bay painted in black (homemade)^^

while we put the engine in (ghetto way) ^

DA 10.3 front brake swap, tokico HP and ajustable coil. New lower ball joints, Earl's SS brake lines ^^

No more rust(new CX shell) + acura EL turtle 15" rims^^

Freshly rebuilded Sohc ZC (ACL rod and bearing, NPR rings, Felpro all gasket)

I also putted a OEM replacement clutch from EXedy with a fidanza 8lbs flywheel. It goes pretty well. i am now looking for an exhaust line to put the car back in the street.

Looking good so far. Wish I could find Hondas around here, that aren't completely rusted out, for $300 bucks, or free for that matter. Where did you get the replacement body panels? I need quarter panels and rocker panels for mine.

Here in Quebec, ef honda's are really rare in the street, they are all destroyed by rust. so i don't really care because its the only customized 91 civic around here. but i understand your opinion. thank you

and please paint it red !

I picked up my exhaust line 2D after school. I also installed it on the car. it sound so nice and so clean (bone stock with ractive headers). I am very proud of me now that the car is drivable on the street. its been 2 years that i have started to rebuild some of the part. I realise that my first ZC automatic civic was a real shit ride compare to what the ZC can give at the moment i am speaking to you. Thank you for looking at my thread, Thank you HT for all the mechanical information reliated at honda ef. Here is a little picture update

very nice gyspy. now i imagine its just the angle.. but for some reason the engine seems to sit a little higher on the left side then on the right. weird lol.

a friend of mine has the same color ef as yours. he recently rebuilt a zc for it.

i don't have pics of the rest of the car but i can assure you its in terrible condition compared to yours lol. someone tried to widen the fenders by grabbing them with vice grips and bending a little bit at a time
