i know it sounds like a good idea to save money and get a cluster off ebay rather than a dealer but cant you get in trouble if you dont have the stock cluster in your car. Will it affect anything or will nobody notice??

i had no problems what so ever and this was my first time, everything works just fine.

There are a total of 24 wires shown on the bottom diagrams and 25 shown on the top, so that raises a question about where does the 25th wire come from (unless the to-be's are on the bottom). Secondly, there is a blue red wire in the to-be Green 14 position and a blue yellow wire in the to-be Green 12 position that don't show on either the as-is diagrams for the blue or green plugs, creating another mystery about where they come from.

I'll go look at my plugs and see if I'm mis-interpreting something here.</TD></TR></TABLE>

ok i think ur getting confused. the blue/red wire comes from the blue connector cause there like 5 or some wire that you have to move from the blue connector to the green one. and one wire from the green to the blue one. i stated what wires got to be moved in the diy. maybe this cleared it up for you.

Do you twist them together?</TD></TR></TABLE>

the bottom diagrams are what ur connectors look like when you start . ok. the top is what they need to look like, you will notice that some wires in the blue connector moved to the green one and one wire from the green to the blue.that how it has to be.to clear it up. your goal is to make it look like the top.

well no and yes. you will not get in trouble for having it in your car, but if you have warrenty on and the cluster has more mile then what your warrenty is for it may affect it. most peopl will not notice only people that really know about the car. the be problem free fine a cluster with almost the same miles.

Quick question for anybody that owns a 03-05 Civic...

I'm looking at buying a used 03 EX. When I turn the ignition to ON I didn't see a 'SRS' or 'Airbag' light come on in the cluster. Where is this light located on the 03-05 cluster? I'm afraid the airbags may have been deployed or something else and the seller disconnected the light. TIA

Thanks for setting this up. I re-pinned my connectors with no problems at all. Since I put an LX cluster into a DX, I now have the ABS warning light lit. Does anyone know how to make it go away other than tape over the light?

for the a/t clusters does anyone know what pin the reverse light wire is on? (04 ex cpe)

also for whoever asked you cant remove the "bulb" on the 03-05 clusters. they are surface mount led's which are directly soldered on the board. what you can do is put a small piece of electrical tape behind whatever indicator you don't want lit.

the cluster wires should have nothing to do with your cd player.

Has anyone tried to go from a cluster with NO TACH to a cluster with one, or is that something i would have to ask the dealer to do. I have a 01 dx manual and not having a tach is nothing less than retarded, and i dont want to by one i have to glue to my dash.

i just did the swap today.. every thing works fine except my speedometer.. i wired everything exactly like the diagram but i had changed the cluster because the previous one was having problems with the speedometer as well...the needle had fell off and it was always cutting in and out but recently stopped working all together..so my question is which wire controls the speedometer i just wanna make sure because not throwing a speed sensor code and dont wanna spend the money for it if i can avoid it..also found 2 white and red wires...one originally on the blue plug and one on the green..when i put it in i tried both wires in the the new white\red spot but doesnt seem to change anything..
