Default ls gas mileage

Curious. Some input would help. MY DD ls is getting about 25 mpg highway...is there a way i can get it better?? I am not throwing any codes or any lights on...but it does seem to waste more gas than I think it should.

I heard that replacing your primary o2 sensor works wonders, so two weeks ago I bought a new one and wired it up myself.

Freakin' worked like a charm! Honestly it makes a very noticeable difference, and when coupled with grandma driving you barely use any fuel at all. Definitely recommended. Check for a Denso o2 sensor off ebay.

Not driving above 75 mph helps. Most cars score the best mpg from 55-65 mph.

full tuneup: spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv, fuel/air filters

if you dont know how old your o2 sensor is, thatll probly give you the best improvment.

also, you can get injector cleaner, and intake/tb cleaners, BG makes them, and they work well.

My Ls w/ b16 trans gets horrible gas mileage, i only range from 200miles to a tank and its doesn't even have an intake or exhaust just tranny/6puck/flywheel and its under 100k

Honda's rarely require fuel filter changes. In the 4 or 5 years I have been working on them, I've never seen the fuel filter be the culprit of anything come to think of it. My gsr (w/ gsr tranny at the time) was getting about 29-30 mpg if I took it pretty easy on her for the whole tank. Currently since the motor has been built with the ITR tranny has dropped me down to 20-25 mpg (bigger injectors, p/p, stage 2 cams). Now it basically depends on how I drive the car. If my foot isn't in it all the time I am getting in on the higher end of the spectrum. It's just much harder not to rip on it a little getting on the freeways here and there.

you could do an engine flush that would help. nd a three step would help a lot. cleaning ur injectors, throtle body nd ur intake.
