I forgot to say how much the lever looks like the old Hurst Super Shifter I had back in the 70's.

No. It needs to be solid.

Hasport now makes solid inserts for your mounts though.

But AVID makes a full 1-pc mount set for ya too

Thread jacker.... No good ones in my opinion.

Any movement in the engine can cause the shifter to be pulled out of gear. That can be catastrophic.

You know, I was thinking that same exact thing when I was reading the original post.

Looks awesome tony, want to make one for my Subaru??? I'm a little worried about shifting the straight cut dog set, and was thinking about some sort of shifter setup that would aid in this.
