I was thinking if I should go to them for my input shaft bearings and throwout bearings replacement?

I want to avoid dealerships....

- I have the parts for replacing those two things, but don't know where to go for cheap...

throwout bearing is a piece of cake, honestly. input shaft is a little more indepth but not bad. you could do the throwout without taking the tranny out of the car.

Anyone have a DIY on the throwout bearing mine is making a dragging noise with the clutch engaged in neutral

throughout bearing is simple, i mean, the hard part is...you can't replace it without pulling the engine/axles--to get the the tranny

When it comes to the input shaft and throwout bearings I would not be able to help you. I don't have access to a lift and transmission repairs I would want a lift for that. I could recommend you to a fair shop if you would like. When it comes to the timing belt water pump I can help you there. I did some research and this repair for your vehicle would be 325. The valve cover gasket set is a special order item and would take 3-4 days to receive. The 325 does include ALL parts and labor. I have performed this task on numerous vehicles like yours. I would need to do this at my house being all my equipment is there. I'm located on the west side of Madison and this would take about 4-6 hours. I do work full time so I do repairs usually on Sundays. Hope this helps and I hope to hear from you soon.

This would make me nervous...

The timing belt/water pump replacement is not THAT hard to do...I'd say breaking the crank pully bolt would be the hardest thing to do.

If you do take it to this guy make sure someone goes with you and keep an eye on him and your car...I don't trust people nowadays

timing belt and water pump are easy. Takes a little muscle and a little thought, had to replace a power steering pump and and the ac on my dads 2000 Dakota. I know they are different vehicle's but it shouldn't be to different. Took me 3-4 hours with a little help from a friend.

I'm mildly retarded so it shouldn't take you long at all man.

ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ITS A HONDA

you dont need a lift for a trans drop/install. just a jackstand. and on a manual trans you dont even need that. you can benchpress that bitch and put it on. the auto trans would need a jack cause that mother is heavy as ****. but come on..

just pull the axles (you dont even have to remove then from the front forks i dont) drop the trans and change the bearing.

well looks like that honda site for manuals doesn't have the EM2 service manual :X oh well....still looking and poking around for any DIY to keep me busy this upcoming 4-day turkey break
