I need a little help......My cluster is working, but the ECT and Speedo Healer is not.

1. I don’t think I hooked up the Speedo healer correctly, can someone enlighten me as to what gets hooked up where?

2. My ECT seems to not take a file when I try to upload it. If I hold the reset down on the chip, the temp gauge starts going down. The second I let the button go, it starts to go back up slowly. Any ideas here would be great too.

does teh speedo healer light up at all?

have you tested the ect chip? does it give you wrong temp bars?

I took the ECT and Speedo Healer out due to the car running like crap with it hooked up. Car ran fine without it, so i know for sure it is hooked up wrong. Both units light up, so i know power and ground is right. I dont know for sure what pins/wires i need to wire what to on the computer side, and to cluster. I have a P28 ECU, and of course an AP1 cluster. I plan to trying this again today.

The wires for outputs where ran incorrectly. So the temp bars whre jumping from 1 bar to full bars and back. The speedo would not move from 0. I know the units whre hooked up wrong, i need to figure out what pins from the ECU get spliced into the ECT chip and healer. If anyone could help, it would be great, i tried a pinout already.....

Do I have to splice the white wire from the SPEEDOHEALER into the VSS sensor ,or completely cut it and wire the VSS only to the SPEEDOHEALER?

The speedohealer has 4 wires 12v+, 12v-, Vss in, Vss out. The vss has 3 wires, 12v+, 12v-, and signal. Splice the power wires together, cut the signal wire. The wire on the Vss goes to the in, the wire in the harness going to the ECU would go to the out.

The custer came with the car i bought, the ECT Module from modifry is like 70 and the speedohealer is about 115. your time, should be free.

No, the Speedohealer changes the the signal from the VSS going to the ECU. Probably not the best example, but think of it as a dimmer switch for a light bulb.

do any one have the file for the Modifry ect? I just installed mine and it will some times read full bar 1/2 bar or no bar.. dont know whats going on

That happened to me too, but it was because it was wired wrong.

i know this is kind off topic but its worth a shot any one that has a ap1 or ap2 cluster that has a part number on it i found a company that sells tons of connectors along with tons of other electrical parts and supplys if you have and ap1 or ap2 cluster with plugs and they have a part number printed on the plug post the part numbers here and ill see if they have the plugs and then we could have a way to get plugs if you didnt get plugs with your cluster

Does anyone know the amount of ohms the VSS that a s2k VSS throws ? And the amount that a regular analog throws ???

I have put a lot of input into these S2000 threads, after having a 100% functional AP1 cluster.

Now Its time for me to ask for some input.

I did my AP2 2007 cluster install and now this one has a jumping gas level guage. What type of resistor do you guys use on a Ap2 cluster in a Honda? Integra DC2 to be exact. (but im sure that all honda gas tanks are the same or very similar.)

I have tonnes of input to say on this thread regarding the 2006+ Ap2 Clusters, but, need to get mine 100% sorted first, now im just missing the gas level to be accurate.
