Default 96 accord non-vtec

Good afternoon Honda-Tech,

I just wanted to say great forum keep up the good work everyone. I have been having problems with my accord throwing some codes 0450 and 0453 I think and will check and correct.
Scanner says something like evap emission control solenoid pressure high. I have replaced the charcoal canister and both solenoids and am still having the same codes come back.
Has anyone ever seen this or had the same problem.

Someone Please Help!!

Thank You

Dave

It could be that the pressure release in the gas cap isn't working. If resetting your ECU doesn't remove the codes permanently. Try replacing your gas cap.

Those two codes have to do with a problem with the evap system pressure. What two solenoids did you replace? There are two valves, 1 solenoid and a pressure sensor in the EVAP system. Did you replace the vent pressure sensor? (37942-P0H-L01)

Two way Valve - 17371-SV4-L31
Canister Vent Shut valve - 17310-SV4-L32
Valve set Solenoid - 17012-SV4-L30 (L31)
Vent Pressure Sensor - 37942-P0H-L01

Remove your fuel fill cap, reset the ECU and start the car. If the code does not return, replace your fuel fill cap. If it does return test/replace the Vent pressure sensor.
