Infinity, Polk or Eclipse speakers?
Going to put a modest system in my girls' 2008 Corolla, I'll make the mdf baffles for the front as I know the corollas have an odd bracket/size.
6.5" speakers:
Eclipse SP6500 (4ohm)
Infinity Reference 6022i (2ohm)
Infinity Kappa 62.7i (2ohm)
Polk db651 (4ohm)
Likely will be powered with about 100w rms Alpine PDX-4.100, and rear channels will be bridged to power a small sub, probably two 6" subs infinite baffle on mdf replacing the rear 6/x9s. Just looking for reccomendations on the speakers up front. I want coaxials/point source because I'd rather not cut holes in her door panel if I don't have to.
HU will likely be Alpine 9885 or a similar Pioneer/Premier unit.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, so now i'm deciding between the SP6500 or edesign audio's edi 6000s v.2. I can get the SP6500 for about $83 and the edi's for about 110.
Both offer the coaxial/point source mount or seperate tweet mount. I've read on icix.com that the edi 6000s v.2 are comparable to CDT EF-61, which are a step above cdt's starting 'CL' line. They both have about the same rms rating, 60/150 peak.
diffs i can name off the top of my head are:
sp6500 has 1" titanium metal dome tweeter, edi has 1" silk dome so I would think that silk would be smoother but I've read reviews that the metal dome on the sp6500 is pretty smooth
sp6500 seems to use a small self contained plastic box xover, edi uses a fancy one with what appears to be larger components, caps etc.
sp6500 has a 87db sensitivity, edi has a 91db
sp6500 has no tweeter attenuation, edi has a 0/+3db switch.
Maybe i'll just have to get both and demo them to see which one I like better...great prices on each of them. I've read good things about eD. I was looking at the eclipse sc6500 (about $130) but they dont have a coax mount option as i'd rather not cut holes.

I would pick a silk dome tweeter over a metal dome any day of the week, although the SP6500 does have a very smooth metal dome tweeter.
You may be right, you may have to listen to both sets and decide which one you like.
Forget about the Eclipse SC6500, not worth the extra $$$, and IMO, the SP6500 is a better sounding speaker. 94
