Ok, just want to make sure this tranny will fit. Almost positive, just need reinforcement. Ok. we did a swap into my friends 94 lx, and he'll give me the tranny for free. The tranny in my 94 si right now has a bad 2nd to 3rd syncro. Should I opt for the LX tranny with a longer gear ratio, replace with another d16z6 tranny, or try and get a d16y8 tranny out of a del sol with posi. I'm more into auto crossing than drag racing. What should I do for now?

The d15 tranny is going to suck with the D16. I suggest you get either one of the D16 trannies mentioned.........

Ok, just needed some reassurance on what to do. I have a friend with a del sol with the Y8 engine. He wants to swap it and hopefully I can get the tranny off that. does that have the same gearing as the Z6? I know it has limited slip though, just didn't know about the gearing, I;'ll search somewhere...

I didn't think it would be too bad, just a longer ratio-better for top speed, not so good for drags. I want to see what the potential is, I might just try it and see, if I ca't get another z6 or y8 tranny.
