gsr or ls tranny for boost?
how much of a difference is there? i know the gsr tranny or even b16 tranny would make the car accelerate faster, but how much faster?? i like being able to do 80 on the highway and be at a decent rpm. i have an N/A ls for now but im planning on boost within a couple months. i guess im looking for people with experiance with both trannys in 1/4 mile and overall feel. thanx

80mph on the highway on a gsr tranny should be at ~4k rpm. Im sure the gsr tranny would be better as its not too short or too long and many people run a gsr tranny on boosted setups.

It depends on the power and what kind of turbo your going to be using. I know someone who was putting down 500whp on a 2 liter LS/VTEC and needed to go from the GSR down to an LS. But if it's just a small turbo setup, and by the sounds of it yours won't be too extreme, then a GSR tranny should work fine. You could also just do a GSR with LS 5th gear for the 80 mph highway cruising.
