Timing Belt moving side to side on cam gear
Guys,
Quick question...I am purchasing a hatch that has a GSR bottom end with a B16 head. I was looking at the timing belt last night and noticed the timing belt moves slightly side to side on the cam gears. What is causing this? Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Since I got your attention...the car has the following setup:
B18C1 bottom end
TypeR pistons and rods
TypeR crank, oil pump and water pump
New bearings and gaskets
Arp rod and head bolts
B16a2 head
Skunk2 stage 1 cams
TypeR valves
aem cam gears
375 rc injectors
aem fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator
fuel pressure guage
skunk2 intake manifold
70mm throttlebody
aem intake
ngk spark plug wires
Custom Johhny Tran header
2.5 Thermal exhuast piping
b16 tranny
exedy street clutch and lighten flywheel
255 walbro fuel pump
Any chance I can get away with some boost on this engine. Compression is high so that is why I'm asking.

Yeah, I'll prolly just leave it alone. The current setup runs strong. It dyno'ed 196whp and 132 ft/lb's.

Re: Timing Belt moving side to side on cam gear (doood)
I'd say you can go at least 10 lbs safely.. It's basically a brand new engine from the look of things. My friend was running his GSR at 14 tuned with stock internals with no problems... That is until he totaled it yesterday [crash, nothing to do with engine].
