Default 1999 4cyl Accord Suspension

I am trying to lower where the fenders sit rite above the tires, and I was wondering which type of suspension should i go for. I was thinking about a sport drop from eibach springs or race drop from neuspeed. Could anyone suggest me what or how I should proceed with this. Oh yea, also I am thinking about getting some 17's or 18's. Could anyone tell me how wide the tire can be before scrapping on turns. I heard that if I get 18 * 8 ....they will scrap, is that true??

Thanks for all the help.

Well to get the fender right above the tire on your car it'll have to come down about 2.5 or 3 inches. This is with the stock wheels and tires (15's with 195/65) or with 18's and 225/40. I believe you can use 18x8 wheels, and the widest tire is 235 if you're gonna lower it. Im down about 2.75 in front and 2.5 in the rear and I still have about a one finger gap. I have eibachs and I love em, but with the drop you want you HAVE to get new shocks. Mine are koni yellows and I love those too but they're about 600 bucks w/o install. Hope this helped some

I have a 98 coupe dropped with the sprint kit coilovers. I believe its the 1.50" drop. I am running 17" rims. Looks real nice, but you gotta be careful as hell over speedbumps and stuff.

from what ive heard if u want GOOD suspension u might spend anywhere from $300-$1000+. i had dropzone coilovers [cheap brand] and i was dropped pretty good and the ride was ok but sucked when there were a lot of bumps [ull bounce but not that much].
there are many factors taht play into the ride that u have to think about....for instance the street, your tires [are they low pros?], what are u sitting on [springs? sleeves, etc]

now if u do happen wanna spend $1000 or so, i would consider air cylinders. thats what im riding on right now with 18" rims and 225/40 tires and i can leave the back dumped and still get around and the front ide have to raise a bit cuz itll rub. the ride is way smoother than coilovers, its just basically the streets that make the ride suck sometimes. but heres a pic to let u kno how low u can go on air ride
