I've had a carbon fiber hood on my crx for a couple of years now. It has real bad sun damaged. Is there any product out there that can repair the hood. When its wet, it looks BRAND NEW! I've sEEn lots of cars driving around with the same problem.
any help? THANKS! |

Have someone who has paint knowledge take a look at it. Probably just need to be wet sanded and cleared. The clear build is what you need for UV protection.

For a noob I wouldn't recommend to go that coarse, finish it with around 800 if your doing it by hand and just clearing. Paint it yourself if you have the knowledge and equipment.

Yep, you can pretty much buff/polish anything to make it shiny. But to fix the problem it would need clear. After all that wet sanding you would be half way there to refinish the part. I suppose if you have the time to do it on a regular basis, but why not go for the gold.
