Anybody know how to wire this up so when you turn the ignition off the mirrors fold in? Or when you set your car alarm, they fold in?

Someone said it would take lots of wires and relays. Just fold them in before you shut off the car.

I got mine 75% done today. Driver side folds in. I need to run the wires through to the passenger side....maybe Thursday? I did test them and came upon a strange problem. If I hit the button once, the driver side would fold out. Then when I hit it a 2nd time it would fold in and the passenger side would fold out. I didn't have time to check more wiring options as I had a softball game, and didn't have all the wire crimps. My soldering iron took a shit, so I'll just crimp and heat shrink. I also blew a fuse like you guys said, and popped in a 10 amp. It also blew, so I put in a 15. No problems since. Loco think it might just be a wire in the wrong spot?

i think you have the wiring wrong with the pass mirror. cause one wire makes the mirrors fold in, one makes it fold out (i forget which do which). just make sure that the red / blue wires and red / yellow wires are spliced together for the mirrors ... recheck your wiring and use my diagram / info

Here is the driver side working. The above video didn't work well for some reason.

Yeah, I was thinking the wires were backwards also but had to take mom to carpel tunnel surgery today. I'll take a look at them later tonight or tomorrow. I think your wiring did have the 2 wires reversed on each mirror which would make sense. I'll let you know when I'm done.

Power + Red/Yellow mirror wires = fold in
Power + Blue/Red mirror wires = fold out

to make them fold in and out with the ignition, you should be able to do it by doing this (I haven't done this, so I'm not exactly sure)

*fold out with ignition*
run a wire from the radio auxilary wire (turns the radio on and off with the ignition, white/red on stock radio harness) to both the blue/red mirror wires.

*fold mirrors in with ignition*
I haven't quite figured this out yet since I don't what what will still give the mirrors power when you turn the car off ...

Mine are fully operational right now. I'll post pictures tomorrow after work. Should have a video too. I'll see if I can add anything to Loco or Slomies writeup after doing this myself. I did not de-pin anything, just cut the factory harness and matched up the wires. Didn't end up soldering, but wire crimped and heatsrunk all connections. Then I ziptied averything together for a cleaner install and ease of removing door panel in the future. I mounted my relay under the armrest, picture of that will be up hopefully tomorrow.

BBallz24, what was the problem you fixed in order to have everything working correctly?

It was the 2 wires....just had them backwards. I was suspecting that, but didn't have the time to check it. Once I had time, I sat down and swapped em, PRESTO!. Then I had to tackle running them from one door to the other. BTW, my wires from the JDM mirrors were the exact colors as your chart showed. I have at home what ones connected to what factory wires if that will help anyone. I depinned nothing and just connected the wires. Took the plug from left to right and spliced them to corresponding wires from USDM harness. (EX. Leftmost JDM to leftmost USDM......2nd from left JDM to 2nd from left USDM. The only part that was a little iffy was connecting switch to relay. I looked at both diagrams and kind of took a shot at it and it worked. Again, when I get home I'll compare mine that works to those that Slomie and Loco have posted. My passenger side is about 1 second slower than the driver, I figure this is normal and because the power has to travel to other side of car? Next week will tackle the bumper pole. I have a video I'll post of me testing it when I get home from work.

The only thing I can think of is using a relay that completes a circuit to a power source when the ignition if off. The only problem with that is there will always be power going to the mirrors when the car is off. I am pretty sure I have seen a small relay circuit with a timer on the net somewhere. That would solve the problem of power always going to the mirrors. Oh wait doesn't the relay box that comes with it already cut power? If so, then we would just need that relay that breaks the power circuit when the ignition is on.

I used the diagram that Slomies has posted on Honda-Tech as well as the information provided by LocoBanana.

I started out by taking the dash and door panels apart so that I could run all the wires and everything. I have a desktop power supply that can run 12 volts, so I tested everything before I installed it. I wrote down what wires from the mirror went to the relay and then on to the switch. If you look at the stock mirror plugs and the SiR mirror they are exactly the same with the addition of 2 more wires. These 2 wires (Red/Blue and Red/Yellow) are the ones you'll have to run across the cabin from passenger to driver side. They control the folding in and out. I tried to take out the reading of the diagram, although it was not hard for me, some may have problems. I'll try to list what wire connects to what for ease of use. I did not depin anything and spliced them all. I also used wire crimps and heatshrink. When I was finished with the wiring, I ziptied them all together and made it look as clean as possible. When it came to the folding wires for the passenger side, they have to connect to the driver's side. To get the length, I had my buddy hold wires from passenger side, I stood on driver side and about mirror level. We then allowed enough wire to hang to the floor then added about 1' more. I think it ended up being close to the 16' that LocoBanana had mentioned in his writeup. Also, some wires may be different colors, but pin locations all match up from USDM to JDM.

DRIVERS SIDE MIRROR TO RELAY
The Red/Blue wire connects to the Green/Orange on the relay box.
The Red/Yellow wire connects to the Green/Yellow on the relay box.
The other 3 wires connect to the factory wires that were in the same pin locations. (Ex. left-most wire on USDM plug corresponds to the left-most wire on the JDM plug.)

RELAY TO SWITCH
The Black/Silver wire connects to the Black/Silver wire on the switch.
The White/Green wire connects to the Yellow/Black wire on the switch.
The Red/Green wire connects to the Blue/Yellow wire on the switch.
The other wires all correspond with the USDM harness. Just splice the correct pin location from USDM into the JDM one. I cut all the wires at once, then looked at the USDM switch and grabbed the left-most wire from it and connected to the left-most wire for the JDM. I continues left to right until all the wires were connected.

Some wires from JDM harness are the same color as the USDM harness. DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THIS, ONLY PAY ATTENTION TO PIN PLACEMENT AND CONNECT ACCORDINGLY.

When mounting the relay, there is little room. LocoBanana placed his under the power lock relay/solenoid. I attached mine under the metal bracket that holds the door handle. I took some zip ties and secured it in the front and back. There is plenty of room for the door panel to fit over this while having it secured and out of the way.

NOTE: I ended up using a 15 AMP fuse as the 7.5 blew and so did a 10.

Here is where I mounted my relay box.

Wires coming from driver side mirror

Wires going to switch and relay

Switch plugged in

All wires ziptied

Here are some better shots of the relay mounted and the wiring.

This is the door panel removed and the handles installed to give you idea of where things are and show wiring.

Coming from mirror I ziptied all the wires together and then ziptied them to the factory harness to keep them out of the way.

More of the same from above. Here is where Loco mounted his relay. Note the wires wrapped in electrical tape coming through the white plastic in the right corner. These are the wires coming from the passenger side mirror and eventually being spliced into the driver side wiring.

This shows my relay mounted under the metal bracket the handle connects to.

Lots of wires, tried to keep it as clean as I could.

You have 2 wires backwards. Most likely the ones from the passenger side mirror. You have the 2 wires going to the correct 2 wires on the drivers side, just backward. Example, driver side are red and black, passenger side are blue and green......you have green matched to red and blue matched to black, switch them so you have green matched to black and red matched to blue.

Ok I don't have the powerfold mirrors but they do have power. Well they did, i had a friend of mine put a new one in because the old one was side swiped. Now the mirror is on but they do not move with the power. There is still power to the switch but not to the mirrors. Now i know enough to check the fuses and that's fine but is there a relay switch to these regular power mirrors or what. I am so stumped please help
