Did we ever discover if we can use the Air blaster on the paint? Does anyone think my 98's paint will crack?

I tried the air duster + heat gun method on my car today, with no success. Good news is there was no visible paint damage, so there's a little good news.

I'm assuming you mean an upside down air cleaner?

Not enough, you will want at least dry ice/heat gun

i didnt read throught the whole thread so im sorry if this is a repost, but besides using dry ice there is another way of hot/cold dent removal... heat up the dent with a hair dryer and then take a compressed air blower can and tip it upside down so that the liquid comes out and spray that on as your cold source instead of dry ice, ive seen it work on some applications

Good idea! Maybe some sort of keyboard cleaner or duster would work?

I asked our "dent guy" who comes to my job about the dry ice trick. He said hes never heard of it. Maybe it only works for a specific type of dent? I thought if anyone would know, he would....
I wanna see some pics too. I got friggin door dings from the neighbor kids (little bastards!)

yeah that is what i meant a keyboard cleaner compressed air can or the like... the only dents i have seen it really work on are the dome kind, the ones that would be created from a ball hitting the car (or my idiot friend jumping to sit on my hood for instance) i dont know if it works on the classic "door ding" that you get from the inconsiderate person who opens their door too hard. but please feel free to give it a try and let me know. hope this helps

oh and unfortunately i didnt take pics before i did it.... but i remember seeing a vid of it on youtube so check there

OH and make sure that when you use the spray can you apply it until ice forms over the dent otherwise it wont work

i let my car sit under direct sunlight and then sprayed the upside down can of air on the dents. it worked on one dent, made another dent look a little better, but didnt work on some of my other dents. like stated before, it works on larger dents with a clear center.
