Just bought some rims...all of them are clean except for one. It has some primer over spray on it. How can I remove the primer and not damage the rim. They Rota Jmags. Here are some pics:

I would think mineral spirits would be your best bet. I dont THINK it would damage the wheel at all. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Guess I'll try the claybar...I think I have some rubbing compound if that doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

acetone or paint thinner will do the trick. shouldnt do anything to the rims at all i wouldnt think. and it should come right off without exerting much effort at all lol

Yeah those rims are polished aluminum (It looks like anyway), you should be able to use paint thinner no problem... If not, try a razor blade, flat against the rim, should be able to scrape it off but youd have to be careful about dragging it perfectly even along the metal so you dont leave any scrapes.

You guys are spending too much for any easy fix, just get a bottle of 90% alcohol and it will take it off.
