Replace or keep spindle\knuckle?
I bought a '98 220k Accord sedan for my son and thought I heard rear wheel bearing so checked out both sides. Removed both bearings - left slid off easily and axle nut looked new. Right side needed to use hammer to get hub off and the inner race was seized on spindle. I know it's not an exact science but trying to decide if the spindle needs to be replaced. I cleaned both spindles with 1000 wet sandpaper and they look pretty good to the eye. The left side has maybe one tiny spot I can feel just barely catch my nail. There are other tiny dark spots maybe the start of pitting - difficult to tell even with magnifying glass. The right side has no pitting but after cleaning it up looks like it got scored under inner race. Don't have a micrometer but looks like there could be some tapering on left and the right might have a low spot. Wondering if it's really necessary to replace the spindles/knuckles? Thanks

Re: Replace or keep spindle\knuckle?
The bearing goes into the knuckle and the hub goes through the inner race of the bearing. When you remove the bearing the inner race stays on the hub not the bearing. It's normally not necessary to replace the knuckle unless it gets bent somehow, which is fairly rare, since it's extremely strong. The bearing will go bad and the hub will distort over time which will cause the rotors to distort/warp but the knuckle never really distorts. Can you take a clear detailed pic so we can see how bad it is.

What I meant to say was I removed the rear hubs to check the bearing and spindles. Here are pics of the rear knuckles but not sure if they are going to help much.
