thanks for the input.

i have a white car, and was really looking for a good durable wax.

when would you polish a car? to my understanding, it takes off a very thin layer off the top of the finish?

I like to use a polish atleast once every six months. As for taking off a very thin layer... most of the polishes I've used have very, very, very... light abrasives. Some polishes don't even have any. To answer your question... yes it does, but it's so microscopic that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Once you get into swirl removers and rubbing compounds; then I would be more cautious about its use.

As for having a white car, the good news is that it's easier to maintain. The bad news, is that white can only get soo shiny. It won't be as reflective as blue, red, or black. This means you generally don't have to do as much to make your car look good. I would recommend Clearkote Vanilla Moose topped with Poorboy's EX-P for white. The EX-P is a pretty durable wax. Good Luck.

fventura03, you're gonna love the PC 7424. I don't know how I ever lived without it. LOL I have never used Meg's pro line, but I hear nothing but good things about it.

I see you have a rallye red Civic. It's probably one of the best colors to work with. I may be a little biased though.
