Anyone try to run a/c on an ek with h2b?
Just as a thought, I'm going to browse some h2b pictures and guesstimate on clearance.

there aren't a lot of H2B EK setups yet so you probably wont get a good answer bud. my guess is probably not though based on all the H2B setups on H-T.

So after talkin with bense earlier I guess the 97 version is a odd-ball. It comes with 50mm mains not 55. The crank snout is smaller. Im gonna try and measure as much as I can tonight and give you guys some specs

Few have questioned the possiblity of AC & Power Steering with the H2B concept. Hopefully this post will help sum up a little bit about what is involved.
Take a look at this pic... ![]() A little bit a banging is required to run the alternator in the OEM position. The framerail was cut for clearance in this pic... an effective solution other than the "bang, test, bang bang some more, test, good" procedure. The power steering belt travels on the outside of the alternator pulley. Do you see any room to run it in this pic? No. So you have two options, don't run it at all or modify your frame rail to do so. I have seen H22 Hybrid configurations with AC where the belt powering the alternator is also powering the AC compressor (serpentine) inconjuction with a tensioner. I cannot recall if the bracketry mounting the compressor was OEM or afterrmarket (HCP?). Again you can see from the above pic that the clearance is tight. Using the serpentine method mentioned above with possibly the use of a few custom/mix match components, it is feasable. |

So there's hope, so how would I get the serpentine to run? With a special tensioner?

i've thought about using a single channel crank pulley from a f20b and flipping it around backwards
