Does any one know the weight differences of the B series and H22. would an H22 be a good road racing application in for ex. the DC2?

weight difference, if i remember correctly, was posted by skunked in the h2b facts section somewhere in the middle of it. It was something like a 40lb difference. But you will also be losing AC and Power Steering so there is weight shed with the setup. I have the setup in my dc2 and can say the driving characteristics are very similar to the b18 before it; my setup was built as a canyon track car. I also dont have my AC, PS, Window Wash and have a lightweight battery. Id say my current weight is lower than my b series and i have +10hp stock over my modded b18c1. I think i came out on top with the swap.

I don't believe it has been covered yet as to which clutch slave cylinder to use with the H2B setup.

I'm planning on using the QSD H2B kit, it appears you use the stock B clutch fork...and from what I've seen in pictures it looks like a H22 slave cylinder, and I'm confused as to why you'd need the adapter block for the B slave (unless it's a clearence issue).

You use a B-series slave. In the OEM position the slave hangs out past the tranny on into the motor side. The reason something must be done here is to clear the larger H22 engine profile.

Awesome. That was basically the only thing I was unsure about.

New transmission came today along with my crank pulley spacer from Mcmaster Carr.

Hello all. I am really thinking about doing a G23/2b. G23 with a H2B adapter and B series tranny. The only thing i have not been able to figure out is can i still use the B series axles with the G23 setup?

hey there, i'm planning a h2b setup-

has anyone had experience with the h23 bluetops?
-are the rear bracket in place that are needed for the half shaft bracket?
-using a 6 rib, single pulley on the stock crank would still require framerail mods in a dc2, correct?
-i'd like to use an 8 rib pulley, but i'd not sure honda makes one, and an alternator to suit.

reason being- i plan to relocate the alternator, and stuff a rotrex supercharger down there also. it'll require some custom brackets, but no big deal. i'm just afraid to beat/mod my frame rail. do i have any other options?

sup jbell ,we did a h2b with a h23blue top
-the h23blue top will allow you to use the half shaft bracket converter
-we used a kaizenspeed balance shaft eliminator kit which allowed us to bring the pulley
closer to the motor, we also had to make a metal spacer to keep it in place since the
pulley bolt wouldnt hold it anymore. we also had to run with out the timing belt cover.
otherwise we would had to cut/ weld and box in sheet metal to make it fit.
-not sure if theres an 8 rib, but to help you out with trying to relocate the
alternator. and getting a rotrex charger to fit. i can ask one of my friend who is pretty
cool with zack at QSD to see if he can come up with some ideas for you.

if you have any Q's you can reach me at the shop listed below between 9am-6pm pacific time.
ask for Anthony

we'd be glad to help since we have alot of experience with h2b's

When moving the crank pylley closer to the motor, the balance shaft gear is removed, this balance shaft gear made sure the cam belt did not slip off. But when its removed is there chance it can slip onto the crank pully?

Ive heard pepole using a washer between the cam belt and the crank pulley anyone know what it is and where i can get one from

thanks
