NEED HELP ASAP!!! MY CAR HAS CODE: P1129
i have a 99 Acura Integra LS (stock) I was cleaning my throttle body and after i put it back my CEL went on.
I had a friend ran a diagnostic on my car and the OBD scan reader showed " MAP HIGHER THAN EXPECTED CODE: P1129" My friend is not that much educated about Hondas neither do I.
Need to know what this code mean and what repair is needed. I dont want to go see a mechanic at first and give me nonesense repairs just to make money off my ***. I already had been through a bad experience with mechanics.
HELP ME OUT PLEASE

delete the code and wait and see if it comes back, but as far as fixing the problem maybe a new map sensor but clear it first and see if it comes back.

The scan tool indicates Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1128: Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) lower than
expected.
— The MIL has been reported on.
— DTC P1128 is stored.
Problem verification:
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Check the MAP with the scan
tool.
Is 54.1 kPa (406 mmHg, 16.0
in.Hg) or higher indicated?
Intermittent failure, system is OK
at this time.

YES
Replace the MAP sensor.
NO
Replace the MAP sensor.
NO
Is 43.3 kPa (325 mmHg, 12.8 YES
in.Hg) or less indicated?
Problem verification:
1. Start the engine. Hold the
engine at 3,000 rpm with no
load (in Park or neutral) until
the radiator fan comes on, then
let it idle.

Re: NEED HELP ASAP!!! MY CAR HAS CODE: P1129
I have a 1998 Honda Accord with a 2.3 . Just R&R'd the motor . Never had codes on old engine before timing belt went. New engine has DTC p1129 MAP pressure too high. R&R'd MAP . Still surges . I would like some help with this as it's becoming a pain and the obvious answers arent working.
