Default J30A 6spd (2003-2007 accord) on a J30A1 (98-02 accord)???

Im looking to do a 6spd swap on my 6th 2000 accord coupe ex v6.

Will a 6spd off of a 03'-07' Accord v6 bolt right up?

Also other than the 6spd trans, trans computer, and cluth pedal assembly will i need?

I might add, i will be paying a shop to do this, but i would like to gather all the parts myself.

Im looking to have all the parts by mid- to end of summer and have it in the car by august. So please any information you have would be helpfull thanks!

Jon

I don't know the differences between the CL-S tranny and the 7th gen's 6 spd tranny, besides the LSD. I believe it bolts up just the same, but you might want to find someone who can confirm this.

In the other thread, the parts list was originally for swapping the CL Type S motor and 6 spd tranny into a non-Type S CL or TL, including swapping from an auto to manual. -RednecekDave- confirmed and modified the list for me so that we could have a list for those wanting to do the same swap into 6th gen Accords. If I understood you right, you'll be keeping your stock motor and only swapping the a 6spd. The list should be relatively the same, minus the parts related only to the engine.

I can't tell you how involving the wiring will be though...

Yes, keep my stock motor.

That was my big question, how involved the wiring would be for it, i would imagin it would be less than daves, but i cannot be certain. i plan on talking to some local shops next weekend about this swap, get some quotes, and see if they would even be willing to do it.

[Link removed by moderator. That thread was long and he had to read through a lot of material to get any help, weeding through the material post by post, eliminating the useless one-liners.

If you had pointed to a single post or thread that had a clear answer, it would probably be allowed, but just pointing to that kind of vagueness is not helpful.

If you feel that the particular thread contains the exact information the user wants, then weed through it for him and post it here.

Thanks. ]

Thanks Mod, it did have some usefull info, some more links to read. Not too much in the way of parts, but it all helps me get an idea of costs.

Anyone else have any info?

Because it won't work with the cl-s flywheel.

thanks, i like to know why im replacing parts lol.

But from what i gather, you can also use the trans off of an 03+ accord coupe ex v6 6spd or a 04+ tl 6spd and ofcourse the 03 cl type-s. please correct me if im wrong.

and assuming the above is true, if i use the accord 6spd can i use the accord starter?.... tl speed tl starter?

EDIT: Also, can i use the gas brake and clutch pedal assembly without much modification? and the master and slave cylinders from the 98-02 4cy accord coupe?
