READ #2 carefully and LOOK at the picture. The radio has nothing to do with it.

When you begin to hold the reset button I assume that you have the ignition all the way off....
However, I don't understand if when turning the ignition to on I go to the first turn or do I put the car in ACC mode for the ten seconds?? Thanks for the help trying to do something nice for my girl. |

I followed the procedure as you published inaccording with Honda Manual as I recalled how mechanic has reset the maintence required light on my 2005 Civic LX. However, my Maint. Req. light has come on again, now my LX has 45,000 miles. I tried pushing the trip odometer reset down and turning the ignition key on for at least 30 sec. and then start my car. The light is still on. Any ideas? Thanks

You don't need to start the car. You just press and hold down the trip odometer button while you turn your key to the ON position. (key position two)
How long has it been since your light was last reset? They do come back on, and periodically need to be reset. |

I had followed all the procedure by pushing down and kept holding pressure on trip odometer before turning ignition key to ON position. After 30 sec., the Maint. Required light was still on and confirmed with engine running. I even tried hooking up OBD II code reader, but there was nothing to reset nor any code to be clear.
All routine maint. was done with oil, oil filter, air filter and spark plugs cleaned. Thanks
