Default Broken Bolt on Rear Shock......NEED HELP ASAP!!!!

I was taking the bolt off the rear shock and it snapped, does anyone know how to get the bolt out of the lower control arm because the head of the bolt broke the rest of the bolt is still in between the shock and the control arm,

cut the nut off the lower shock "fork", hammer out the bolt and replace it with a nut of the same size/pitch and grade and get a new bolt from honda

You may have to get new LCA's all together
thats what happened to me. The outer bolt( rear trailing arm attachment) was so seized i had to bust out the air grinder

there's on other way of doing it -- if you want you could blow out the bushing and bolt all together with a blow torch

however you will need to press in new bushing

worst case comes, burn the bushing or have it melt....might take a long time tho. Then press a new one in.

Might be cheaper and easier to get new LCA altogether.

I had that exact problem, just take an impact hammer and pound the rest of the bolt out... (from an air compressor) I tried using a sledge hammer and that wasn't enough force, so the impact hammer isthe only way

sometims taking a drill bit (1/2 the size of the bolt) and using a drill will help. it will break the bond loose betwwen the bolt and metal. a left handed drill bit works best but most dont have them.

now that you have both ends of the bolt off , you can spread the fork of the strut open enough to get it out and straighten it out again when its out. once the strut is out of the way , youl be able to beat on the bolt better.
