crank pulley removal
I am trying to take off the crank pulley and i cant seem to take it off. there is not an impact gun strong enough to get it off and im not supposed to use one on it anyways. it gives me part numbers in the manual 07JAB-001040A and 07JAB-001020A for the tool to get it off. I tried calling honda dealer but they say they dont have that in their computer. they say they have to call honda and see, do you know any way to get it off or where to get the tool

Re: crank pulley removal (Under_Pressure)
If that part number doesn't work try this one, Honda Part #: 07MAB-PY3010A. I put new pulleys on my civic last summer and that crank pulley was a pain to get off. After several tries with an impact wrench I had to heat the bolt up to break the thread locker and finally it broke free. I later found out about the pulley removal tool. Honda does call for 130 lf-ft of torque on those crank pulley bolts.
