I guess it's a fact of life that everyone tries it, but it's a really stupid thing to do. In retrospect I don't know why I needed to do it, it didn't prove anything.

Wow, pretty impressive what the Si's can do. I'm old, so it's out of my system to get even close to 100mph. Back in the day, I took my '92 GS-R to somewhere over 140mph. Of course back in 1992 the speedometer only read up to 140mph. So who knows how fast I was really going.
For giggles I switched the display to read kph and soon as the wifey noticed I was doing 110, she let out a scream to slow the 'F' down. Girls, ...they're so cute when they're mad at absolutely nothing.

I have tried to hit top speed twice (both about 2 years ago when I first got the car)
and both times the throttle cut out at 134, maybe 133. I REALLY don't think a governed si can do more than that. Btw both were on a slight downward incline.

Better get those tires balanced, ...or buy new tires, ...or move to where there are better roads. Cars nowdays shouldn't feel like that at 110, much less any (well kept) Honda from at least 20 model years back.

I have an 06 and it definitely will not go over 135 (pretty sure the limiter is 132).

i never did a top speed run in my car. the fastest i ever went was 128 when it was bone stock and it was smooth as can be. but now i dont have a speed limiter so idk how fast i can go. i sort of want to find out, but i dont at the same time.

Having done several top speed runs on the German Autobahns (where certain areas this is LEGAL), I can say as a matter of fact, my '07 FA5 will top out between 133-135. I will give it another go this weekend to see if there is a difference between 5th and 6th...
