any dimensions to look for?
I did mine, ill try to take some pics and get a dimension for you.. you have a little bit of room behind the door panel where the speaker goes plus you can trim the plastic ring around the back of the door panel for extra clearance if necessary

The plastic ring that encompases the diameter of the speaker itself in the direction of the cone-to-magnet (or...Front to back I guess?)? Id assume so...the question is maybe also that the door panel grille will "bottom out" on the face of the speaker in some instances thus making the attachement of the panel back to the body of the door itself impossible...

...I also wonder if theres any way to secure some aftermarket grille by shaving the integrated door panel grille itself....the issue there would be to try to make it LOOK good.

...did I just get WAY too technical about simple speaker replacement / upgrqade?...

just so you know, in a 2005 EX Coupe, inorder to get the panel off you cannot pry out the cushion on the door with a screwdriver, but must pull it up towards the roof of the car.
