what could cause this?
i just finished the k24 frank and my car is burning oil BAD. to the point where it went through a quart yesterday. motor feels really good. im guessing its the rings but i could be wrong.
the oil smells like it is burnt and on fire and when i did a compression test it was 150 170 170 150. which is WAY too low. i used stock TSX rings and the only thing done to the sleeves was that it was honed.
whats the deal?

It could be a couple of thinks, but it looks like the rings weren't gapped properly, or did not sit right in the cylinder wall.
Another thing could also be that your stem seals are shot.

seals where brand new honda seals. i mean that could be the case but i dont see it happening.
I just dont want to have to tear this thing apart again to put in new rings. that would be gay! but if it has to be done it has to be done.
