yeah I'd guess from reading that webpage; The setup is really a R C circuit, changing the resistance causes the cap to charge/discharge at different rates.

cool.
now about the "alternative blinking relays" since i dont have any soldering tools to make the adjustable blinkers. i just take out that resistor and plug the relay back in and thats it?? what about the colors he was describing (#4?)?? |

the colors are the colors you'll be reading on the resistor.
there's no guarantee you're going to like what you get by removing that resistor, the blinks per minute may go a lot faster than you want since the capacitor is allowed to charge/discharge faster without it. I guess what I'm saying is, do at your own risk. in order to "properly" remove that resistor you're probably going to need a soldering iron, and actually KNOW how to solder/desolder. If you just REALLY don't care, **** it, but you'll have to find a replacement resistor, a soldering iron and learn how to solder in order to get your blinkers to function stock again, or just replace the whole unit with a new one. |

jw, why do you want them to blink faster. you might want to think about that. my friend did it and he got exteremly annoyed with it after the first few days. its quite annoying when its clicking really fast.

Yeah im planning to do that configuration on my car as well but instead make them slower, I will post up a DIY post for everyone. Hopefully soon. I hope you check it out and see whether you like it or not. I will also post a video to show you how slow or fast it will be. Well good luck for now.
