Default Honda Civic 2000 radio code help

My battery died and you know the rest! Help? Four weeks of silence is enough for any man. The number I found in the glove box M98D346832.

take it to a dealer with the RADIO VIN and they will give you your code. Or try pushing 1 and 6 at the same time, sometimes with some Honda radios it will spit out your code.

I just had the same problem. I actually found the code on a sticker in the glove box right above the M number.

I'm not 100%, but I think the sticker is affixed there by the dealership (or at least was at one point).

Back when I bought my car (in 97) they rolled the car off the truck in front of me, pushed it into the lot, and it had ~4 miles on the odo - and there's no sticker in my glovebox. Two stickers were in my owner's folder thingie (one they put on a card, the other loose), so I most definitely got them... just nothing in the car itself. I like it that way too - you steal the OEM radio, no glovebox help for you. I was such an **** bastard the dealership couldn't even put it's sticker on the rear of the car. Click the image to open in full size.

So - it's not as though the glovebox is necessarily universal.
